Common Mistral Vibe issues and fixes

What people run into most when they add Bot-Hosting, and how to get past it.

Mistral Vibe not using my custom connector

Vibe picks connectors on its own when they fit, but you can turn one on for a task. Click + or type / in the chat, open Tools and switch on Bot-Hosting, then describe what you want in plain language.

MCP connection requires additional information or is invalid

Check that you pasted the full server URL, with https and the whole path, and that the Connector name is a name without spaces or special characters, such as bothosting. Then click Connect again and complete the sign-in.

Can't add a custom connector in Mistral Vibe

Custom connectors are admin-only. On Free, Pro and Student plans the account owner is the admin, so sign in as the owner. In a Team or Enterprise organization, ask an admin to add Bot-Hosting, then click Connect on its card in Connectors.

What your AI can do

Everything you do in the dashboard, asked in plain words.

Build and host your bot

It creates the deployment, writes the code, installs the packages and starts it.

Find and fix crashes

It reads the logs, explains why the bot stopped and fixes the file or the setting.

Manage the rest

Files, environment variables, packages, domains and resources, on request.

Stay in control

Secret variables stay masked, backups can be restored, and you can disconnect the AI at any time.

Try asking

Copy a request, paste it to your AI and watch it work.

Create a Discord bot that answers /ping with Pong, host it on Bot-Hosting and start it. Tell me when to add the bot token as a secret variable.

My Discord bot is offline. Read its logs, tell me why and fix it.

List my deployments with the RAM and disk each one uses.

Questions, answered.

Can Mistral Vibe run Bot-Hosting tools without asking me each time?

Yes. In Connectors, then My Connectors, open the Bot-Hosting card and turn on Always allow for chosen functions in the Functions tab. Mistral suggests this for read functions and manual approval for writes, and the setting is per user.

Can an admin limit which Bot-Hosting tools Vibe can use?

Yes. In the Admin Panel under Connectors, the connector's Permissions tab sets each workspace to Allowed for all tools, Restricted for selected tools only, or Blocked to turn it off.

How do I disconnect Bot-Hosting from Mistral Vibe?

Open the Connectors page from the sidebar and disconnect Bot-Hosting there. Mistral says disconnecting revokes access immediately. You can also revoke it in Bot-Hosting under Developer, then My apps.

Is it free?

Yes. The MCP server comes with every Bot-Hosting account, free plan included. What your AI can create stays within your plan, like in the dashboard.
